HOW TO CRAFT THE PERFECT INSTAGRAM BIO FOR YOUR SMALL BUSINESS? | De Lisa Carol

How-to-craft-perfect

Like so many other Creative Genius's, you most likely have an Instagram page, and you probably thought about what you say in your bio. It can be a minor stressful task because it's almost asking you the dreaded interview question... so Tell me about yourself? 😅

Here are three steps you can take to craft the perfect Instagram bio.

1) Change Your Name

Instead of putting just your Name or business name, I would suggest putting that actual service you provide because your name is searchable.

Let me use me as an example:

My business name and Name are De Lisa Carol, but if you didn't know how to spell my Name or you as a customer was looking for a photographer in the DMV, I would instead have a "DMV photographer" or "Maryland photographer." Your user name is not the same as your name, Don't confuse this with your Username because your Username should be your Name or your business name, depending on your business.

2) Have your message statement in your bio.

Now I know what you are going to say; my message statement is so long, and if I write it, it will take up all 150 characters. Here is how you can make your shorter. Suppose you were to explain to a child what you do, then what you say. For example, I am a photographer who takes photos of female business owners. Once you have that down, make it even shorter—portrait photographer for Female Business owners. See even short but still gets the message across to what I do.

3) Use an Emoji 👇

Did you know that images are the fastest way for people to process information? It's the most efficient way for your potential customers to get a great understanding of what you do. It helps you draw attention to any section of your bio. If you can find the perfect emoji that describes what you do, use it right next to the words.
